I am trying to get IB's to look at me for entry level analyst positions, it's just hard coming from a non-core school. I will probably graduate with around a 3.6, which sucks for that industry but then again, it's all about who you know, and I have internship/leadership experience.
If you work in IB, any advice?

It's going to be real hard if you're not coming from a "big splash" school. Get relevant experience and try to get an MBA from a strong program with good alumni. Then try to back-door your way in.
There are thousands of people wanting to do the same thing as you. It's ultra competitive.
ETA: I'm not in IB but know a few guys.

Agree with the above post. You will need to be ultra competitive and leverage every contact you have given the relatively poor GPA.

Get experience. Get into a top B school. You pay for the who you sit next too and the connections/alumni the school has
