Is this frowned upon. I know, not an OT baller.

Just bought one. Not the first time either when I am not ready to drop a lot of money on a set of new tires. Just wondering if anyone else uses them on occasion.

I bought 4 new/used tires from a guy who bought his truck off of the lot brand new and put on some mud tires the same day. That's as used as I'll go

we lived in Longview and the used tire place had a connection with the Chevy house parts fella. When cars came in to get new rims and tires this guy would buy them. $120 - 4 tires mounted/balanced. Worked for me at the time.

How cheap you need? Walmart tires are actually pretty good.

I've done it before. I was passing through Morgan City listening to a swap meet on 95.7 or something like that, and a guy came on and said he had 4 BF Goodrich 265/70-17 all-terrains for $200. I wrote down his number and went and picked them up. They barely had any miles on them and the only reason he was selling was because they were on a truck he just bought and he wanted bigger rims and tires.

He even thru in the Ford factory rims, plus I jewed him down to $160.

Pretty good deal I thought.

I did the same thing. Guy I know had some 265/65 18 for my Z71. Only had a couple thousand miles on them and he wanted bigger ones. Paid him $400.

eta: It helped that I knew him though and he was nice enough to give me a 100/tire deal
