And as for CLM losing to UK, check out UK's record that yr.

Miles is certainly not beyond criticism. He made a terrible decision on Mallveto, sticking with Crowton too long, The Magnolia Meltdown, the Tennessee do-over, letting teams stay in games, requiring a record comeback against Troy, we could sit here and find points of agreement all day.

80 wins, a BCS championship, 2 SEC Championships a 13-0 regular season - do...not...just...happen. They have happened over the past 7 1/2 seasons because LSU, the athletic departement, the players, the institution, the fans, the boosters, the coaching staff, and most importantly Les Miles have done far, far, far more things correctly than incorrectly. When I mess up at my job, I don't have millions of people watching, many of them ready to go bitch about it on the internet (and thank G-d).

Granted, I don't make millions of dollars on my job. Neither do you Keltic - neither does White Tiger. Why do you think Les does and we don't? Luck? Politics? Or is it because he is an outstanding (not perfect - we use those different words for reasons) football coach...one of the best.

This is not in question and was addressed in the opening post of this thread. It is CLM v Saban. Thus far, Saban has the better of it. Hence, the inclination to find fault with CLM, if that is how one wishes to view it. Who would LSU replace him with? I know not and am not suggesting that that happen now. Just cannot accept with any satisfaction the current situation vis-a-vis the gumps.
