I ask the guy some very poignant questions, not flaming, just genuinely wondering if he really believes this guy is going to carve up LSU's defense.

I know. You asked legitimate questions and he just kept spouting excuses about what happened in the La. Tech game or some other game where JM sat for most of the game.

No reason he couldn't answer the questions. Unless he simply didn't want to.

I can't figure out if he was trolling or just didn't know what he was talking about.

If we play assignment football, this kid will have nightmares about this game. He may not get sacked much. But he will get hit early and often.

Notice that Florida was also our first game, and JFF's first start as a red shirt freshman. If you don't think he is significantly better now than he was then, you're kidding yourself.

One of the reasons he's "significantly better" since the Florida game is because he's faced garbage defenses for the most part since then- until Saturday. It's about to get real brother.

this qb is a dual threat (4.5 40) too.. it didn't really help him much.

we give up a lot of yards but our d sees a lot of plays. i believe la tech had 100 or something like that. i dont have the actual number on me but we have a pretty good yrds/play stat. our starters are good and we have a pretty good front 7 that revolve around porter, stewart, and moore. the problem with our d is that we have no depth. we kept la tech scoreless for the better part of the 1st half. factor in our depth issues with missing some key players, i could see that coming. no one is saying our defense is elite but i wouldnt go as far as saying its terrible

I expect him to top 350 yards total offense

So he is going to gain at least 30 more yards on LSU's defense than he did against Ole Miss'??

We won't pile up yards like La tech, Arky, and Ole Miss did. But you can bet your sweet arse that we will win the time of possession battle. This is why we will win this game.
Your D is solid up front. And you'll sell out on the run. We showed saturday that Mett is more than capable of throwing swing passes and quick screens at the edges of your defense, need i remind you this is where your D gets REAL squishy. The less you sell out on the run the more we go back to it and hit you in the mouth.

Your depth issues and our stable of fresh legs will put up some rushing numbers in the 4th Q.

Sorry, bud but we match up REALLY well with y'all on both sides of the ball.

I acknowledge and I am sure Coach Sumlin knows that LSU's defense is very very good. I have even read that LSU's DL has some NFL talent, but just want to point out that A&M has 2 O-linemen (Jake Mathews and Luke Joeckel) that will be first rounders if they decide to declare for the nfl draft this year. So basically we will have a war in the trenches.

Johnny Football will be aware of the elite D he is facing as well, as some of you have mentioned, he has a very high football IQ. My worry is that he trys to take on the big hits and gets his bell rung. But seriously, he will make plays, he is playing at home and he knows he has to prove himself against an elite D before the country will take him seriously. I guarantee his teammates know this too and they will make sure he has opportunities.

I think it will be a great game just like the Florida game. I believe we beat Florida if we had a tune up game the week before. I know that JFF wants to have another opportunity to show he can compete against and elite D and I think some of you guys that haven't seen him in action will be surprised.

Super excited to see LSU come to Kyle Field and battle it out. Good luck!

Hopefully neither team has any bad injuries.

This thread just proves that you can't have a reasonable football conversation with an Aggie.

Blinders

Personally, I'm worried about any game against a team with a competent offense... not to mention an SEC road game.

But we really have to win this one or the Aggie trolls are going to be ridiculous.

LSU needs to focus on stopping the run period. make them one dimensional and they will get eaten alive and turnovers will ensue.
