Getting banned

Ok, kinda new to TD so forgive me if this is a stupid question , but I have seen references made to people getting banned or in fear of getting banned for sharing of info or answering specific questions about issues that are supposedly "hush hush". Can someone fill me in? Is there some draconian policy I should be aware of?

No racist stuff and no porn/nudity and you shouldn't have much trouble.
And two word subjects or just generally shitty subjects, likes yours, will get your thread anchored.
Maybe read a few of the guidelines and stickys before you jump into the deep end.
