Yeah, but what about the other 60,000 or so that booed? It was loud. His fists would have fallen off trying to break every jaw that produced boos.

It's his right to call the guy an idiot and it's their right to boo. I don't know why that's a shocker. When your offense has gone 7 quarters against Auburn and Florida without scoring a TD, people are going to get frustrated. It was a great drive and obviously many felt that it showed a lack of confidence to not go for it from the 1-yard line.

I think people also felt like our D has been playing so great that it would be a good gamble. Many felt like the D has been doing everything and that the defense needed to be supported with a TD instead of a FG at home. I think people were trying to sway the decision and it might have played a factor if not for the penalty. It's football - it's not a softy sport. Now if somebody is booing a hurt player (or cheering an injury), then it gets personal...

To each his own though...
