Only go to J Clyde if you want a beer and that's it. If you plan on getting food or anything else, be prepared for a looooong wait. Everytime I've been the service has been garbage.

Go to Avondale Brewery and sit at the bar and order a sampler of their house made brews. Personally, I prefer the Battlefield IPA and the Vanilla Porter.Then walk next door to Saw's Soul Kitchen for the pork and greens, which is their pulled pork served on a bed of cheese grits and greens and topped with onion rings.
Next google The Garage and plug the address into your GPS. This is a neat hole in the wall bar. Stop at the cash machine on the way because they don't take credit cards.
For dinner, go to Highlands Bar and Grill. Order whatever daily fish special they have and be sure to sample their oysters. For a night cap, go drink some bourbon at Dram Whiskey Bar.

Can't go wrong with anything in this post, especially The Garage. I'd also throw in Bottega Cafe, which is near The Garage. Bottega is split into 2 restaurants, the cafe and the main dining room. The cafe is where it's at, though.
