Thanks for the suggestions. We're kinda looking for somewhere casual and not too nice but good and not touristy/bourbon st seafood. I know that's what you get down there but all suggestions are appreciated

Go to a place called Elizabeth's. Not in the quarter, but only a short cab ride. Good food, laid back and not too expensive.
