They are reliable, rugged, robust rifles, but I have to agree with Mr. James Yeager here. Your old Rem 700 or Win 70 deer rifle will outshoot it all day as far as accuracy goes.

Owning 3 Mosins, I agree with the above for the most part. However, my 1898 Tulia is pretty darn good...though still not on par with a Rem 700 or Win70.

The big thing is that the ammo is cheap, and it's very good training (and hunting) for the kids out to 100 yds with iron sights. Could accurately reach out much further with a scope, but I hate to damage historical pieces like that.

I have a mosin nagant someone coverted to 30-06. He put a monte carlo stock on it. It doesn't kick to hard and it's pretty accurate.

CoastieGM, I completely agree. The thing is a great trainer, it's an accurate battle rifle, and it is cheap as shite to shoot. That's what's nice about it - cheap; everything.

And ColdPizza, you're also right. He's pretty douchey, but I agree him on some things, although he's not a big 1911 fan. I know he made the video "1911s suck" but if you watch it, there is some context. He said you can't just put together a 1911 with a bunch of different pieces and expect it to be as reliable as something like a Glock (as much as I hate them). He says they must be fitted to work well, and he's right to some degree. Although I've seen some RIA 1911s run all day without a hitch.
