LSU's offense was poor last year... only a step above bad.

I'll take South Carolina and 19 points. How much would you like to wager?

I agree the offense has not looked better, but the defenses we have played are getting tougher

They aren't getting better... they've just studied the dozen or so vanilla plays we run and cover them.(like last year near the end) The failed jump pass was no secret.. they were concentrating on the receiver in the huddle... and we're playing Fla. where the jump pass has to show up every year.

Maybe the players who are going to fumble and drop passes going into the game, will be injured prior to said fumble/dropped pass

Probably wouldn't score that in three games against USC's defense

That was a utterly flawed and futile attempt to rationalize the offense's ineptitude. You live in denial.

The offense is awful. Scheme, execution, play calling, game plan. It's putrid. It's all owned by Les.

Keep living on the "good ship lollipop".

you are out of your mind, it’s not just one lost, it’s how they have played and the offensive disaster doesn’t bode well for the rest of the season. you need to wake and smell the shite that this offense has put out. Nevertheless, you are right about one thing, LSU will win this weekend.

Exactly. It isn't that they lost to UF on the road but the way they played the other games. You could see this train wreck coming when we play good teams and it looks to be upon us.

We could deny the problems against Idaho, North Texas, etc but in real competition they are magnified.

Regardless of what any of us say we WILL know a lot more this weekend. If LSU comes out with fire and executes, there is no doubt they will win and in dominant fashion. USCe hasn't faced a defense like LSU yet so that bodes well for us.

However, if we pull the same junk and our defense spends 40 minutes on the field, we get rolled and the season will only get worse.

We can say Florida was an exception but two in a row and we'll know for sure.

Well, let's hope they get better. Fortunately, the offense can't get worse.

Frankly, punting on 1st down would probably improve LSU's chances against Carolina by keeping that nasty defense off the field.

The only problem we've had since Les got here is winning. You people somehow got it into your minds that we are just soooo much more talented than all the other SEC teams out there. Which is myth. We are on even playing field with at least 7. And we have a better record (over the last few years) than all of them.
Hate to say it but it's confidence. The team is down because of injuries..
Anyone with a tiny bit of confidence can catch a ball. Hold onto a ball. And revel at the chance to block an oncoming defense.
Players without it let the ball fly through their hands, hold on to carries loosely, and get nervous and commit fouls.
This team can beat anyone in the country when it's clicking. And Saturday night can be a spark to get that back.. Or it can make the "wheels come off" en route to another 3 loss season.. OMG.. the horror.
LSU wins 21-10..

call me negative. But that ain't happening. With no more fight, concern, or focus shown by the Off this season, things are just beginning to come unraveled.
It's usually darkest just before it goes totally black.

No they were a problem in 2011 too...I can't stand how people continually point to games where we played from out in front all year and just pounded the rock for the last 3 quarters. We had plenty of fall starts with JJ at the helm...Not to mention we were anemic on offense at the beginning of games with JJ (until special teams and defense got us ahead).
