I am not a huge fan of Les though.
I wouldn't replace him with anyone coaching today (college) with one notable exception but I do think his stubbornness inhibits the school a bit. He made a home run hire in Chavis, recruits very well and is a decent CEO of the program but needs to let go of the offense.
As far as production the two go hand in hand. I have little doubt that you started seeing the problems in the SECCG, and they carried forward to the NCG.
Production and excellence go hand in hand. LSU can have a half arse offense this year and still get to some mid level New Years Day Bowl. His philosophy isn't going to win championships anymore. LSU had a once in a program combo of special teams and defense last year.
