It seems as if a lot of posters think that putting up 500 yards in a win is some how better than putting up 300 yards in a win. This is something i just don't understand. 5 years from now , you won't remember the yardage , but only that we won.
If Miles win his 2/4 games , he will have the highest winning % in SEC HISTORY( of coaches with 100 games coached) and it seems as if his philosophy is very successful.
While I know we have things to work on , on offense , I'm smart enough to see that injuries have decimated our oline.
The point of this thread is to find out why some posters care how we win and why they think that. A win is a win is a win. Winning ugly is still winning.

We are 1-2 in our last 3 games vs. SEC opponents with only one touchdown.

Keep the sunshine pumping.

Are you really so stupid to believe anyone thinks this way?

Go put your head in the sand if you can't understand the concerns for our offensive production. We justt lost a game as a direct result of having a terrible offense. Every team has imjuries so don't use that as a crutch defending CLMs offense. Why did it suck last year or the year before? When will you/yall open your eyes to the one common denominator in our crappy offense?

Last I looked, having a semi-decent offense helps you win.

Again, I just don't understand this "would you rather win or have a good offense" argument.

All we want is a little offense to go with our defense.

What about that blows some peoples' minds?

but we are not adjusting to those injuries.

our offensive gameplan rolls on along as if there were no injuries in the first place.

if the OL has been decimated, then there has to be an adjustment to the mindset of the gameplan to help out the new guys on the OL that have yet to gel or learn their way around the college game.

can u tell me if the coaches are helping out the line in that respect?

I am certain that I havent seen anyone here say they would rather us put up 500yds and dont really care if we win, as long as we pile up points and yards. Never, not once. We have some crazies around here but thats just dumb shite.

What most of the people on this board wants is an offense that we can count on. An offense that strikes a little fear into opposing defenses. An offense that can, on occasion, bail out our amazing defense. The fact of the matter is, we arent looking for 75pts a game and Geno Smith #'s from Mett. We just want to be solid in every phase of the game with each phase able to come through when the other is down. Plain and simple its a complete football team. That is what we had last year and the result was as expected.

The inability of the 4 million dollar man to create a defense that can produce more than a pop warner team indicates something seriously wrong. Its not just about yardage or that we won, but the fact that LSU hasn't had a complete team since 2007-both sides of the ball. Kinda feeling like the wheels are about to come off because for 5 years, no one has come up with a solution for an offense at LSU! It's like having car that gets you from point a to point b and you see it has a leak or two. Your friend bitches at you because you are pissed, telling you that there is no issue because you made it to work. The reality is, that car has issues and if not checked with blow up and leave you on the side of the road. Or you can just keep your blinders on and pretend it's all good.

It's a consolation prize. It's kinda cute that you won something, but the lack of value in it means the good feeling only lasts for a short time.

LSU could win every game 2-0 for all I care, as long as they win. It would be boring, but they would win.

I care about performance more than winning the game. If the team performs like theyre capable of, winning will happen if it's supposed to.

After the first Bama game last year there were problems in the offense that were visible. They were exposed in that game and after it as well. Everybody was drinking the kool-aid and nobody wanted to talk about it. Les has had enough good fortune to last 1000 lifetimes so I figured he would somehow skirt by. Those problems showed up in the National Title Game along with bama's game adjustment to the option. Les might get lucky for a few games running this offense but it will catch up with him eventually.
