In case anyone was wondering, Dr., Mrs TheWiz found out the answer. The crepe's have aphids on them; which apparently emit some sort of sweet scent or either leaves a sweet trail. That attracts the flies.

Oh God, I have been having trouble sleeping wondering if you were able to alleviate your fly problem. Now I can sleep soundly tonight. Thankss to Dr. Wiz!
(Kidding, of course. Glad you figured it out. That would be a shitty situtation).
