What agenda are you talking about? Deferments, national guard duty, conscientious objector, it's all the same thing if you point is to stay away from where the bullets were flying. The only difference is that some of these folks were for the war and some were against the war.

Aside from the people serving in combat, soon-to-be college students about to go out into the work force, etc.? Yes, since their tax situation is only temporary. But I do have a problem with people supporting a tax that they know will never affect them.

MItt Romney's spending plan: It is to return to the budget baseline established by Secretary Robert Gates in 2010, with the goal of setting core defense spending — meaning funds devoted to the fundamental military components of personnel, operations and maintenance, procurement, and research and development — at a floor of 4 percent of GDP.
