re: Romney's Tax Plan

So, you'd trust a guy that can't get one single vote on his own budget from his own party with taxes/deficit. You can't be serious? You might favor Obama on some other issues, but your insane if you even think he's right on this one. Romney, all day, here!

Wait, what are you even talking about? I'm going by the CBO, reread the post dude.

Christ on a cracker!!! I'm voting for Romney but I reserve the fricking right to question his assumptions and math. I'm an owner of several businesses/ MBA/ Accounting background and "figures don't lie in my world". I don't give a frick what letter they have in front of their name.

Now, Obama does not have a clue about how the economy works obviously and doesn't look like he really cares either. At least Clinton would spend hours on end examining economic data. There was an intellectual curiosity about learning. Obama acts as if he knows the ends and outs of the economy which is scary.

It depends if you believe in "trickle down," or not.

Do you?

this has nothing to do with trickle down.

Romney's math doesn't make sense to me? He wants to cut the top rates to 28%

Do you have a link for 28%? He just wants to keep the Bush tax cuts which are the same cuts Obama tried to take credit for when he extended them.

re: Romney's Tax Plan
Romney said the other day, when pressed, that his plan relied on "voo doo" economics. 'The tax cuts were revenue neutral but that revenue would come from dramatic growth in the economy. Where this sudden demand comes from, I don't know.

If anyone thinks electing Romney means more American jobs and better wages, they are truly delusional. He is owned by the richest 25 or 30 folks on the planet.

Outsourcing and labor busting will be on steroids.

re: Romney's Tax Plan
Was just using Obama's reckless budgets, that couldn't get a single vote, and projecting. Just saying he can't be trusted with fiscal responsibility in any form, and its been well proven.. Romney's plan is to broaden the tax base, and therby increase revenue....hard to project that, hence you numbers problem.

Did you see my last post on the previous page?

I think it's a pretty flawed assumption on the cbo's part that tax cuts won't grow the economy and tax raises won't slow the economy down.

Romney's plan can work if the economy grows at its 1946-2012 average (~3%).

re: Romney's Tax Plan
The 28%, I heard it during the debate?

He wants to reduce the rates across the board by 20%.

Link?

You do no if the job participation record was the same as when Obama took office the unemployment number would be 11% right now

Average median income has gone down every single year under Obama. In a "recovery" that is the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen.

Nearly 40% of the jobs created under Obama are "low income" jobs

Yea, Obama should have cleaned up the GOP's slop faster.

I can't understand how some of you guys come to the conclusions that you do.

I don't see how he does this by dropping the top rates down to 28%? He would need growth closer to 4% GDP to make this plan "revenue neutral. Again, it's a hell of an assumption? There are conservative economist and think tanks that actually have problems with Romney's plan.

I'm willing to take a chance, don't get me wrong. I'm just pointing out things. Now, I really LOVE the 25% Corporate Rate!!!

Sheldon Adelson for starters, the gambling and prostitution job creator in Vegas.

There are more, and others that we'll never know about thanks to the GOP's Super Pacs.

Hey, I'm good either way. It's the rest of you fricks that I worry for.

Federal tax receipts hold steady at ~20% of GDP no matter where the top marginal rate is, so I don't see why this really matters.

I named one, and you pooh pooh it away. If I linked you to an article explaining it, you'd pooh pooh that, too.

If you think its important, do some research. Personally, I don't care if you do or not.

I get in trouble when I try to link and otherwise argue a point. My new plan is to educate and let them decide on their own. Otherwise, I don't care if they change or not.

re: Romney's Tax Plan
Well the point is there would be a massive shift on taxes towards the "middle class" if those rates are dropped. Romney is saying "no" it won't happen because things they "could" put on the table such as the tax exemption for municipal bonds etc.

ETA: The problems the scope of the plan and promises according to Romney's Principles: Cut tax rates, avoid shifting the tax burden to the middle class, don’t increase the budget deficit, and keep tax benefits for savings and investment. The Tax Policy Center is saying the plan doesn't add up and 87 Billion in taxes would be thrown on the middle class.
