He is trying too hard to make plays to give the offense some kind of spark. Hard to blame him since they've been so tepid that big plays are going to be necessary to get any points on the board. Same thing with the other WRs. Coaches should be able to fix that, but they haven't.

It has to be the new coach. As a group, they have become completely irrelevant to the offense. It's uncanny.
I'm starting to wonder how much influence the ineptitude of the receivers has on playcalling.
