He is trying too hard to make plays to give the offense some kind of spark. Hard to blame him since they've been so tepid that big plays are going to be necessary to get any points on the board. Same thing with the other WRs.

Coaches should be able to fix that, but they haven't.

Judging from what we've seen so far on how bad the WR's are playing in all aspects of what receivers are supposed to be doing, (Catching passes, route running, blocking, ball security) I'd say the new WR coach isn't that good. What ever he's doing coaching wise at practice is NOT translating to the games. We've taken a step backwards there.
