The thing about gaucho was he did try to make you laugh, and he did it with his own material. Was it hit and miss? Yes, but try to find something that puts out that much original content without tons of collaboration and is always stellar. You'll be hard pressed. Considering most of the stuff on the OT is from somewhere else or derivative as calculus, if not wholly copypasta'd and plagiarized.
If trying to bring something new to people is to be attacked, if making just one person laugh, or think, or feel something outside of the dull drone of sameness is to be treated as an intrusion upon those "too good" for it, then those people should shut the frick up when they complain about the OT not being "as good as it was".

If it isn't, then we have only ourselves to blame.
I didn't always like gaucho.
Sometimes I couldn't stand gaucho.
But goddammit,I stand BY gaucho!

I agree, original content is very underrated. The internet (TD, FB, Twitter, etc.), in general, seem to be a race of who can repost or slightly modify something first. I have been guilty of this.
