Nothing is wrong with that if your OBP is hovering around .380 or higher.

A leadoff gut who gets on base less than 1/3 of the time with no power isn't exactly ideal however.

Well he was hovering* around 360 the prior year and on the rise, last season he did get hurt.

Again to me it's still exactly what you are giving up. And if nothing else is coming to fruition. I would still prefer have him if there was nothing else.. I am valuing him more as a utility player with potential to get streaky hot, but not necessarily your every day lead off guy. And yes I am enamored with his speed and the fact he is only 27 years old. His salary is what 2 million? I also love the fact he is a switch hitter.

How is Schafer better when he hit for .211 last season. Schafer has never had an OBP above 314.
