I haven't posted in awhile, so what do you think LSU's gameplan should be this week against Florida in the swamp? Should we come out of the gates throwing down the field, or should we pound the ball with Ware and Hilliard to wear down the defense?

Score more points than they do.

This is what we do and it's not going to change IMHO.

pound the ball.

Florida's DL is overrated.

I don't think we should come out of the gates throwing. Even with a putrid offense, our defense isn't just going to let them get ahead of us 21-0.

But we should have some osrt of shotgun plan. I imagine putting Shep in the backfield as a decoy or for play action. Remember last year against Oregon, the offense was really stagnant until they went into a hurry up/2 minute mode and started getting the ball to our playmakers.

We need to do something like tha against Florida, but it can't be at panic mode and it shouldn't be right off the bat.

Run the ball and hope Florida can't stop it. Which, according to Muschamp, they have been practicing for two weeks.

Play great Defense and special teams.

These are the tools for victory and just about all we can do that's consistently effective.

Do not turn the ball over, clean up the penalties and we will the game. It's that simple. IF we would have done that for the past two weeks, we would have romped over Auburn and Towson in cruise mode.
If we play sloppy, the game gets a lot more interesting, Auburnesque, but Florida has more pop on offense to take advantage of the mistakes..
