pretty safe to assume that Mett will return next year

A huge portion of the fanbase were saying he would play 1 year and leave for the NFL 
Is it more than safe now to assume he will return to LSU next fall?

he stated he will return at media day this year...said he likes college...IMO he will need the extra year anyway to become a NFL QB...METT will be back

If you read the Rant Saturday night you would know that some LSU fans don't think Mett is here THIS year.

I actually am in the camp that thinks he will improve for the rest of the year. It would be perfect if he comes back next year, then Rivers and Rettig can battle for the starting job in '14.

I think most people knew this after the 1st game. No pro. team wants a guy who fumbles alot, and stares at receivers, can't audible out of jacked up running plays. Maybe he'll take over next year but it isn't happening this year.

I also love how some people say Mett's a work in progress and will improve. Maybe so, but he's not fresh out of high school. He had a year in the UGA program, a year at JUCO, and is now in his second year in our program. Really good players usually succeed right off the bat, and Mett has not done that. Hopefully it will change, but I'm just not seeing it, either on the field or in his leadership (or lack thereof) style and demeanor.

His QB rating is 150 - which is 35th in the NCAA. Imagine what it would be without all the dropped passes.

That said there's no way Mett leaves early. It was only a small chance he'd leave early anywAys. Like 5%.
