The bottom line was the quote from the Towson DE, post game, who stated, bluntly, "we knew LSU cann't pass, so we loaded the box". This is not from a typical ranter but from an opposing player who'd studied film on LSU's passing offense. And when a team "cann't pass", for better or worse, it does start with the QB. Re the OL, go back & reread all the preseason predictions: it was supposed to be LSU's deepest & most talented OL in decades. Yet, we lose on starter & now we cann't run or pass block? The WR's were a preseason question mark & that is holding up. Play calling has always been an issue with regards to CLM, but with this, it's easy to see why he's hesitant to give the passing game much freedom. Mett & the OL has not seen a real SEC blitz yet,as AU's was not real test. The big boys from USCe, Fla, A&M, and bama are going to be licking their chops if this is not turned around now.

You made some good points, then you went to this, which tells me you have no clue what you are talking about. Auburn may not be a great football team, but they are very talented, and especially on the DL.

There are issues with Mett and others, don't let the mett lovers convince you otherwise. They fall in love with his pretty deep ball, which I agree is nice...but they forget he can't make quit reads, and no pocket presence, can't scramble, and is a turnover machine. However, I still think he can improve in some of those areas...with experience.....mainly the turnovers and awareness.....

But, LSU is favored this week, and will be favored in every game in October....so the sky isn't falling yet.
