I don't know Adam Henry from a hole in the ground. I hear that he's a top-flight, excellent recruiter. He's got an NFL pedigree as well as coordinator experience, and his Louisiana roots run very, very deep.

But, Alleva & the BOS should have seen enough by now to lean on Les in the offseason. We need to offer Stud a demotion if he'd like to stay, or a "Milesfiring" where he goes and takes the OC job at NC State or Bowling Green or someplace like that.

We need to apologize our asses off to Henry for keeping him only one year and offer him a nice fruit basket or lifetime season tickets in the new SEZ stadium club or something else really useless but heartfelt.

Because we need to tell Les, in no uncertain terms, that its time for him to take Chairman of the Board Emeritus position as HC of the LSU Football Team.

We need to then fly to some airport in the Southwest and meet with Todd Monken of Oklahoma State. We need to offer to pay him 1.2 million/year to salvage this dumpster fire of an offensive system this team has going for it right now.

We need to throw in Kia Optima or an Acura from Infinity/Acura of Baton Rouge, or from any of our LSU Team Transportation Partners.

We need to offer him time on the Acadian Ambulance/LSU Jet to recruit/vacation.

But most of all, we need to promise him we'll take Les laminated playchart away from him. And that we can guarantee him that he will not be responsible for anymore blocking schemes.

Give Monken total control of the offense and tell Les he can coach on Gameday, watch practice all he likes, call the names out on Big Cat in front of the Geaux 247 and BBI cameras at practice, and recruit his arse off.

But his days of interjecting himself into the offense need to be over. You guys can talk about motivation, coaching, players, whatever...The bottom line is that this offense is stale.

Stale.

Ahhh....I feel better now.

Stale and out of sync

I agree

Hire a real OC and send stud back to the o-line

Problem is you're going to have to fire ensminger and give the TE's to krag along with the qb's

Why is that a problem? Miles can find anyone to hit Voo-Doo BBQ with. Hell, let's re-hire Mack Butler if we have to.

Dude, you want a wide open offense. You know what that will lead to? A tired defense that will be on the field a lot more than it is now. They will will then be giving up way more yards and more points. You will then be calling for Chavis's head as well as the head of other position coaches.

Coach Miles is the winningest coach we've ever had. All he does is win. Let him continue to do so without interference.

So you're saying Oklahoma State & UWV would have Top 5 defenses but its their offenses that are the problems?

LOL

We should have gotten Brian Harsin while we had the chance.

why pay him then? chairmen emeriti don't do shite and have virtually no authority.

every time lsu struggles there is a fan contingency that want's to dump miles and perform major surgery on the coaching staff with some perceived "magic" solution.

i think our admin. is smarter and more mature than that.

Monken's the obvious choice for Les because we can point to a good working history between them. Les liked him so much he named him our passing-game coordinator while Jimbo was still here.

He's gone to the NFL-like Henry-and then come back and coordinated some ridiculous offenses in Stillwater.

He's been running Holgo's Air-Raid but he's also got his own ideas, and I think he'd be Les' Rosetta Stone that would allow him to finally feel okay about opening this offense up.

I don't think Les can truly let go without being told he has to let go. He & Searles butted heads bigtime while he was here, and Stud was a hand-picked guy that obviously does not mind Les' involvement in the OL nor in playcalling, which is probably a large part of why he was hired, retained & eventually promoted.

But period point blank, the offense doesn't scare anyone except for LSU Fans. Its a joke and whether you talk about injuries, protection, personnel or playcalling, the one constant since Jimbo left was Les.

This. Miles won't go for it, but it needs to happen.

Ensminger is only at LSU because he's a friend of Miles. The dude is older than dirt and can't seem to coach worth a shite.

true.

I just feel Harsin was a better fit because of his pro styled attack that Les would be very comfortable with. A perfect mix of motion, runs, short, intermediate, and deep passes with the occasional trickery.

But a very valid argument can be made for Monken, as you have shown.

I stopped reading here because I'd just like to say that this is completely true. IMO, you'd be hard pressed not to argue that Stud is the biggest problem right now.

Edit: Ok let me take that back. Stud and the OL are probably tied.

No but I want a well balanced offense. when the defense doesnt know what is coming on the next play... Keep them guessing... I dont a wide open passing attack just a balance one

Steve Kragthrope was hired as OC. He is ill and unable to be OC. So why did we not hire another equally or better qualified OC, instead of putting greg studrawa as OC. If greg studrawa wasn't a candidate for the position before hiring Krag why was he then anointed OC without even looking for another OC outside the system.

Actually he was. He interviewed with Miles regarding the position before we hired Krag.
