The last couple episodes have been legit. I thought they were going to take Brody out for a second there in the car.

What if Dana dies in the hit on Brody and he goes jihadi again? Could set up next season real nice.

I'm sure it was Abu nazir. Or believed to be him at least.

I just wouldnt think that they would go to all that trouble for his funeral. Maybe Walden?

It was Abu Nazir - Muslim burial at sea covered in cloth (ala Bin Laden). The looks to be a Walden funeral in the finale as well tho, Saul was all dressed up n shite.

Dont they do that so the extremists dont have some sort of holy relic to have a pilgrimage to?

Did anyone get the sense that the guy charged with killing Brody (sorry blanking on the name) had second thoughts. He was clearly told to quickly take care of it but he certainly doesn't look like he is in too much of a hurry. I understand you have to wait for the perfect opportunity but this guy is a professional and can find the 'perfect opportunity' relatively easily.

Not sure... I know we did with Bin Laden to conform to Islamic traditions, more like not trying to incite them even more.

Brody and Quinn have been on a collision course since he stabbed him... I think Quinn is dead in the finale. I don't think he wanted to kill Brody in front of Jess or Carrie, he needs to be alone when it happens. The hit and run investment with Dana still needs to be paid off - hopefully with her death. What about Estes' dinner with Roya way earlier in the season? That was never explained. The mole thing is still out there. I'm guessing Saul will spend next season trying to expose Estes. Now that Jess is single again I'm not sure what her role will be now. Since she doesn't effect Brody psychologically right now I'm guessing we'll see less of her.

Good episode. Brody and his corner of the Homeland universe has been neatly tied up at this point. Now kill him and move on with the show centered on Saul, Carrie and co. If they don't kill Brody, then we are approaching shark jumping territory.

As much as I love Saul, I'm not sure the show works without Brody. I don't think I care enough about Saul's strained relationship with Estes at this point. The Brody + Carrie storyline is the heart of the show. The finale will be centered around Brody and Carrie seeing if their relationship can work despite the mountain of challenges.

Different strokes for different folks. I was interested in Brody while he was realistically relevent to the storyline but I don't think his involvement is needed or believable after this season. I'm much more interested in the what's going on at the CIA on future missions going forward. Remember, the writers originally wanted to kill Brody in last seasons finale so they have a vision for this show without. Time to see what it is.
