Yea Nintendo was stupid releasing the gamecube in purple, I mean who the frick wants a purple gaming system? But i loved the gamecube so many good first party games, I still play it today.
they released it in two colors: black and purple
luckily, I was able to pick up a black one when they launched
Gamcube has such a great selection of exclusive games
Metroid Prime
Mario Kart
Mario Sunshine
Wind Waker
Smash Bros
twilight princess
Luigi's mansion
those are the main ones I can remember and even if they only had half that list It would still justify buying the system (for me anyway)
not to mention all the great games that were ported or re-released onto it. And pretty much all of those games were better and improved from their original releases.

Totally agree i still play Zelda: the wind waker today, fricking love that game. Not to mention they had exclusive rights to the resident evil games at the time. Metroid Prime 1 and 2.

yea but they were pushing the purple one on consumers, plus there main logo was purple and they had tiny discs and couldn't play dvd's. Nintendo could of easily won that generation of gaming if they had better marketing
