My second answer was gonna be Kanye.
I can't think of many rockers who "changed" the music world. Jack White is a solid answer though. Basing it off just 20-3-something year olds makes it a really narrow scope though

what about Anthony Keides(sp)? he's older but very popular to our generation.

That was my intention. I want it to be tough and maybe ruffle a few feathers and have a good discussion on this generations music
