To all who think Green Bay will destroy us,
It seems like in the Brees era, most defeats are within 1 possession.
1)When is the last time we've lost by more than 8?
2)When is the last time we were routed?

Rams Bucs and Cards 10 point wins are not blowouts.

Pretty impressive that.. that's the worse of anything lately..

Also impressive is how the Saints step up and play their best against the Best competition..

Yeah I would say 10 points is a blowout.

30-17 is close depending on the complexion of the game, anything really past two touchdowns

I'll take beating teams like Steelers, Patriots, Giants, Eagles.. etc all in those same years.. in prime time.. over dropping an occasional game to a scrub team.

The Saints have been incredible in big time games.

Just googled, 52-3

Most of those losses noted above, we were still "in" games even down 10 or 13 in the 4th.
It's been very rare that we are doomed with the feeling of no chance of victory during like a 3rd quarter.

to the Brees/Payton era

For those with suppressed memories, we started 0-4 in 2007, and it wasn't pretty.

@ Indianapolis L 41-10
@ Tampa Bay L 31-14
vs Tennessee L 31-14
vs Carolina L 16-13

We went on to win the next 4 games and 7 of the next 10, but finished 0-2 for a 7-9 season.

... 2 years later we became World Champions

Blowout. We were down 24-0 and were down 17 with 3 minutes to go. Drew Brees kept his streak alive with 6 seconds on the clock

100% not a blowout
we pulled our starters in the middle of a drive to go ahead in this game. Def not a blowout

He asked when we lost by more than 8. I wasn't listing 10 point games as blowouts, just so we are clear; hence the 1) and 2) before the answers.

A blowout IMO would be more than 2 possessions, 17 or more points.

Been wanting to start a thread kind of similar to this for a while, just never had the chance. Since the super bowl win in 2010, almost all of our losses Drew Brees has had 2 or more ints. Playoff game vs Seattle is definitely not one of those games, possibly Green Bay last year.
