Shapley's is definitely awesome steak, but I think Tico's maybe better...Parlor Market probably is my favorite in the general area.
Cakebread Cabs on a good day run $65+ retail, not restaruant- fantastic bottle for the price.
Recently I had a 15 yr old bottle of Chateau Du Pape, and I agree, it was rather underwhelming.

I've eaten at parlor market twice for lunch since moving to jackson in july. Really liked the meatloaf, comeback deviled eggs and potroast. Can't wait to try dinner. But I'm really obsessed with Steve's downtown for lunch. He made pumpkin & ham bisque the other day, which sounded terrible but he let me have a sample and it was crazy tasty. He comes up with lots of interesting lunch ideas.
