One thing I wish this show would do is show some variation in the zombies. At this point, the zombies are incredibly stupid, slow moving and just generally nonthreatening unless they have overwhelming numbers in a small area. Or you're a dumbass like Hershel and step right over one that looks "dead" like in this episode. "Injury Update: Hershel tears ACL, out for the season."

I wish we'd see some that run, or at least show a little versatility in trying to kill you. Otherwise the mass zombie slayings just gets boring.

Had a few with a quick pace and climbing fences in Season 1. I'd say its 9-10 months after the beginning and the zombies are not that fresh.

I really hope Lori being perhaps the worst mother of all time has been discussed in this thread.

Seems she never knows where the frick Carl is.

This show already has no logic so I guess they might as well have zombies "evolve" into being smart or whatever.

I envision the following conversation takes place next episode:

Rick: OMG, Lori there were walkers everywhere.
Lori: Rick, thank god you're okay. I really felt like bitching at somebody but I couldn't find Carl.
Rick: What you mean you can't find Carl? You're locked in a fricking cell block.
Lori: You never listen to me.

so what's going on with black Ninjette? why does she have the 2 zombies chained to her slowing her down? Do they give off some type of warning when other zombies are around?

It will be explained, but let's just say that they serve an important purpose.

Carl's spending all his time sniffing on Beth…until Hershel broke up his potential sleepover.

I hope they show a Michonne flash back scene to open up the next episode explaining how she got her "companions"

She definitely seems to be using them like pack mules, so even if that isn't her primary purpose, it's a pretty good one.

But we don't need anyone in this thread flaunting their knowledge about things that haven't been revealed yet.

y'all can stop posting the T-dog and Carl memes now

a whole lot of people watched the premiere:

quote:

Sunday's season three premiere collected a whopping 10.9 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated episode in series history, up more than 50 percent from its record-breaking season two premiere. The episode now stands as the biggest telecast for any drama series in basic cable history among total viewers. In the key advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo, the 9 p.m. broadcast collected 7.3 million viewers, with 6.1 million among adults 25-54, all series bests.

Factoring in broadcasts at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight, the series based on the comics by Robert Kirkman collected 15.2 million total viewers over the course of the night.

"Thank you to the fans for making The Walking Dead such a tremendous success. We are honored and humbled that television's largest adult audience resides on AMC. So many people on both sides of the camera worked tirelessly on this project, and I thank and congratulate each of them for their amazing contribution," AMC president Charlie Collier said Monday.
