Is this the best option ($15price+convienience) or is there a close by area that I could park for less and have quick access to the Interstate, w/o getting a ticket or possibly experience vandalism?

the best Price/Convenience option is park for free in warehouse district and jump on interstate, while everyone is waiting in Superdome garage. plenty of parking on the street, I find Julia street is a little walk, but I am on the interstate and in my bed in BR by 11

If you really want to park in the Dome, enter from Poydras. It's only $10 on that side.

There are usually several free spots on Clara St. in between Poydras and Perdido. This is where I always park. Free and not a long walk.

Harrah's and get a couple beers at Gordon Biersch, then get parking validated. Little bit of a walk, that never hurt any one.
