Look bottom line someone called a 3rd down play with a 0 backfield and 5 WR's in an obvious down-and-distance situation where everyone knew we were passing.

It was like 3rd and 3/4 yds. Per Blackledge, Josh was supposed to cut Lemonier and it was supposed to have been a quick pass. JoshD could have done better but there was enough time for a quick pass. So in addition to the sub-par block, Mett has to do a better job of reading the D, knowing who's open, and getting rid of/protecting the ball.

Regardless of down/distance, the formation & personnel grouping is a complete tell on the part of the OC in terms of what we're going to do post-snap.

It could've been 2nd and 1 or 3rd & 19. You run 0 backfield w/Mett in the shotgun and you're going to pass the ball.

Its obvious that 68 couldn't even execute against 55 when we asked him to simply cut the guy. That's technique and/or health. Either way, its indicative of what's going to continue to happen when we face guys that USCe, Florida, A&M, & Bama throw at us. These are all teams with a good DL that creates pressure.
