Last night I found myself wondering if this was all some weird genius marketing gimmick by the NFL. Now I normally don't watch NFL games outside of my team (Saints), but as this replacement ref debacle continues I can't help but watch some of these other games all the while wondering how/when the replacement refs will screw up again.

Are you guys finding that you're watching more football to see what they screw up?

I'm honestly watching less football because it's turned into a joke.

Yes, I ended up watching the Bengals-Redskins and Cowboys-Bucs Sunday because the Saints game wasn't on in my area. I then proceeded to watch the Sunday night game as well as MNF. I couldn't turn it off last night, it was pure entertainment.

That'd be funny if the almighty loss in the GB game is the game that turns the NFL around to the professional refs.

After all the crappy calls...this is the one.

the NFL already has the viewership it needs. It cares about its brand.

The owners are too rich and too prominent in the public to want to be associated with this kind of scandal. This isn't what they wanted

That wasn't even the worst call of the year IMO, it just happened on the last play of the game. I'm biased, but I have more of a problem with the refs OVERTURNING WITH INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE the correct call on the field (PT touchdown against the Chiefs)
