Do Not make that walk. Walking between the downtown and the LSU campus is not exactly the safest place.
There will be some buses running between the Belle and campus. Best to get a ride.

I forgot to mention this. You need to know the area, but on game day with thousands of fans and cars stuck in traffic the entire length of the street, you'll be okay.
