In a weird way I pity the OU fanbase. They're stuck in the horrible state where they are consistently "good" but never good enough to get over the hump. It's hard to ditch a coach who's averaged a little over 10 wins a year. How do you fire that guy and then how do you find someone who wants to take the job knowing that they're basically doomed?

He inherited a team that hadn't had a winning season in the five seasons prior to his arrival, and he has won seven conference championships in his twelve completed seasons. He also has one national title and played for three others. Yeah, they should just be miserable right now.
