Havent got it yet. Had to help get some stuff done at my Dads yesterday and didnt get a chance to mess with it last night.
What are my worries about destroying this backing plate with a bigger hammer? one part already chiiped off while usign the gear puller. Thats what makes me so scared to hit it harder than I have.
I got a new bottel for the torch last night, my plan is to try heating it up next.

I figured out how to slide the axle out from the side I was having trouble with rather than the opposite side like the Service manual says to do. Meant taking a little more apart than what I had planned, but the bearing came right of the axle once i could get to it from behind. The outer race was still stuck in the backing palte once i popped it out though. That took a little bit of work to get out, but it came. Everything is apart and I didnt break anything. Now just waiting on the replacement parts to come in.
