Just remember aluminum expands faster than steel. Gonna be a pita no matter how you do it. I guess id try heating the inner race first. Be ready for grease fire. Be carefull not to cut the shaft.

Its already a PITA.

I dont think there is any grease left in it - plenty of ATF/Acetone/liquid wrench though.

Im not worried abotu the expansion of the aluminum - I need that bearing to expand faster than the axle. Once I get it off the axle, I can get it out of the backing plate - the C clip is on the rear of the plate. Once off the axle, I can get to the clip to remove the bearings.
