As a Saints fan, I hated Smith until I moved to Charlotte. He might play with "an attitude", but he always plays hurt (see the Saints game this year) and seems fan-friendly (calls into the local sports radio shows, puts on football camps, etc.)

Greatest rookie QB of all time has a bad game against the defending Super Bowl champions on three days rest and all the sudden he is Ryan Leaf and Vince Young. It takes some real effort to be that stupid.
Also, I have nothing against Steve Smith (except when he goes crazy and tries to act hard after catching a 10 yard pass when his team is losing by 20) but his career was over until Cam Newton showed up in Carolina.

It's Saints fans man they know shite about football (well some do). They think that Brees is the GOAT 
. They are just scared that Cam is good and is on he way to becoming a very solid QB. Kind of like some of my Cowboys friends that talk shite about RG3 because he is on the Skins.
