Bad decisions by recruits of the past...

Wonder how Travon Reed and Greg Robinson are feeling about the decision to pass up the opportunity to represent the flagship university of their home state in multiple national championship games in order to be on a 2nd tier, shite team in the horrible, redneck infestation known as Auburn, Alabama...

Trovon, I can't blame. Poor guy lost his mother and needed to get away for a fresh start somewhere else.
Greg Robinson went to Auburn for an iPhone.

I would bet they are just fine. They are at the school they wanted to go to.

It can go both ways. Think of how good a career Shep could of had in a spread offense where he would of been used more like a Percy Harvin.
Hopefully he wins a National Title this, and goes on to a good NFL career to make the argument mute, but this obviously wasn't the best offense for his talents. Better QB's may of helped some, but it still would not of let him unleash his full potential.
I am glad he chose LSU though, and he will always be a Tiger

Both Reed and Robinson are seeing the field a lot more at Auburn than they would have at LSU.
Reed will eventually be the go to receiver, like Blake, if he can stay healthy.
Robinson is playing LT, and getting a chance to hone his skills there, which is a much more valuable commodity for the NFL. I don't think he ever takes a snap at tackle at LSU.
It really comes down to what they perceive as success. If the game is about personal accomplishments for them, they're probably pretty satisfied right now.
If they're team players, they have to be envious of LSU. I do think they risk an easier route to eventual career success outside of football by leaving the state.
No doubt in my mind. Not that they may not acheive this out of state, but the odds are not quite as good for them. And, I'm sure stats would hold true in this case.
