I'm sure this is Germans but going forward my most anticipated movies are Lincoln and Django Unchained.
But Cloud Atlas....
Can they blow my mind like they did with the original Matrix?
I want to think they can because they got Hanks on board.
He wouldn't have attached unless it was solid from screenplay level, right?

Angels and Demons, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close would beg to differ.
I've heard conflicting things about it -- some say it's overwhelming (in a good way), and some say it has way too many ideas and things going on at once; however, it's big, ambitious and imaginative -- something that isn't seen that often in Hollywood these days.

I think it's gonna be similar to a movie like The Fountain - highly ambitious and thought-provoking but also highly divisive.

I read the book & was disappointed, but the movie seems to have a better tie-in across the scenes.

He basically isn't even in this movie. And I actually thought this movie was really good and I'm still amazed how good that kid actor was.

The critics seem to either the really love or really hate it. There doesn't seem to be any of them that are on the fence.
I'm reading the book right now, and I'd be surprised if they can pull it off without it being a little confusing to those who are not familiar with the book.

I'm intrigued by what I've seen so far. I don't know anything more about the movie, books or story than what I've seen on the trailers though.

The tie-ins between the stories are going to be critical to the success of the movie, and they were pretty tenuous in the book which I'm not a huge fan of either. The movie will have to be substantially different from the book to work as a movie and I hope they pull it off. It's a very ambitious project to tackle and it definitely sets the bar high.
