In Louisiana (a civil law state) we have "cause" and not really not consideration.
It would be easy for someone to say that the cause for their decision to purchase the furniture was this contest offered by the retailer. That would be enough.
It really comes down to how a court defines "receive and return". Your guess is as good as mine. Would make an interesting case. The court may find it ambiguous and find that receive and retun would include a block and return and Ashley should have worded it differently if they did not intend it to cover a block.
