The best way to handle the "Free Mike the Tiger" people...ignore them. Going there and asking questions just lets them get on the soap box. If nobody is there, they will have no impact.

As for the Mike needs a female companion. If I recall correctly when Mike V...or maybe Mike IV was going down, it was suggested we breed Mike. The Vet school said if a female was introduced in the cage with him, they would fight and their mating process would likely do more harm than good.

Mike is a beautiful animal and very well cared for. He isn't going anywhere except for a short road trips across the street on a few select Saturday nights in the Fall!

Mike the Tiger is happier in his LSU home than he would be in Tiger Penis soup in the Far East.

This. Tigers are solitary animals anyway, plus the current Mike is a mixed breed who can't be used for population conservation.

It's not like he's in a 5x10' cage either.
