I actually think she will be more inclined to give rightful praise to some of the artists now since she wont have to downplay the performances of the Amanda Browns and then stand up and fingerbang herself after Dez sings.

Nope. Not trolling. I really think Melanie is better than Amanda. Amanda has more natural ability than Melanie, but Amanda consistently tries to do more vocally than she is capable of making sound good and when she tries to change songs up to put her spin on it, it's usually just falls flat / doesn't work well. Amanda thinks she is a lot better than she really is and her performances suffer for it.
Melanie, on the other hand, while admittedly more limited vocally than Amanda (she can still sing well enough), still just outperforms Amanda. She has a style that works, she's more current, she picks songs more suited to her than Amanda picks, and she clearly has a more natural ability to adapt songs (and ultimately write music / actually come up with a cohesive album, which will be the ultimate goal after all) than Amanda.
Amanda is a very good backup singer, basically.

That's cool. Most people on here apparently agree with you, can't stand Melanie and think Amanda is really good. Not the way I see it, but different strokes, etc.
Just wanted to explain that I am not trolling when I say Melanie > Amanda.

That's cool. Different strokes like you said. I dont hate Melanie, I just feel she is nowhere near the rest of the competitors. I'm not big on her whisper/talk singing style though.
