They never showed it really in slow-motion...should Landry have hauled that in?

It was hard to tell...

I was glad to see that play, but in a way, I wish they had saved that for a stronger opponent. I'd love to the see the expression on Spurrier's face if they were to pull that one off against USCe.

Anyone?

They ball faded very badly. Partly due to the wind and partly due to the way he threw it.


I agree, we should have saved it.

When I watched the TV replay last night it looked like Ware was hit as he was throwing it.

Ware was getting hit as he released the ball which probably pushed it to the left.

I watched it again this morning. Definitely catchable. Comments about Ware getting hit and that causing the ball to fade are correct, but even with all that, Landry tried to run before he caught it. His reaction said that he should have caught it.

Agree that you wouldn't use it against a better defense (especially not running to the left). It was there as a film builder.

When the WR is wide open put some air under the ball. He threw a bullet and was too hard for Landry to make the adjustment.

An underhanded toss would have netted a TD, he was 15 yards past the defense.
