First off, I made a statement, and I must honor it.

Unfortunately for me, this occurred. But, this might be a good thing considering this board is unbearable right now.

Before I go I'll leave my take on the game.

Nb4TLDR, Nb4Nb4

I am highly disappointed in the outcome, just as everyone else on this board is. I'm even talking to you emo fricks on suicide watch after a game. I am upset too, turn off the My Chemical Romance. I feel as if the emotions may have been too high. This team is a very confident and focused group, but I believe they were overwhelmed today. Setting foot on the field for the first time without a head coach was a lot to take in. They just seemed out of it. The team never really got in a rhythm like we are accustomed to seeing.

The more success a team has, the higher the expectations will be. The expectations every year for this team is having a Superbowl season. That says something about what we've been lucky enough to witness over the past few years. We've seen this team arse rape the league without lube for some time. I have to say, I'm more of a fan today than I've ever been, and certainly more fired up about this season than any other because the doubting and pressure has now increased and I have to believe in these guys.

In today's game the Saints played at their absolute worst, yet they still had a chance against a team playing at their best. The pass interference on Harper, I believe, really changed the mood of the game. Those are points that shouldn't have been there. Allow me to go Tarantino mode and go back to the high emotions for a second; the amount of penalties absolutely destroyed the flow of the game. A 12 man penalty, holding calls, allowing pressure, hell, even drops by sure handed guys. This was a poor performance filled with uncharacteristic happenings of this team. They were never able to set up the rushing attack because of dumb errors. Yet, they showed they wouldn't roll over and fought giving themselves a chance. That comes down to leadership, and this team has it in large sums. They will stick together and fight all year. The defense is a work in progress that I believe will gel more each game. Spags is notorious for having defenses start poor, his D in NY started off terrible, ended up outstanding. I'm looking for this team to bounce back and take the frustrations out on Carolina. It's one game, and I'm not hitting the panic button.

See you frickers in a week.

Very, very well said I must say first of all. Secondly, I couldn't of said it better myself. Third, you're quite the poster honoring what you said leading up to the game.

I can confirm that CocoLoco is both weeping and fingering women at the moment. It's a very tough time in our household.

I think the pi was a huge call, but the 12 man on the field was the knife in the back.

it was the first time our d seemed to get a stop, and bam! they are right back on the field instantly.

In the second consecutive season opener, a fumble by Colston had a huge impact on the game. If he doesn't fumble in the second quarter, we score a TD, kick off to a touchback, and get that blocked punt. The score at the half would then be 21-20 in our favor.

But that's just dumb luck.

Worse than that was stopping them on fourth down, only to bail them out with penalties--twice. Both times led to touchdowns. And then Drew was just off today, and we abandoned the run game too soon--partially because we spent too much time in 2nd and 3rd and long situations.

So what happened yesterday is that the Skins, to their credit, came in with a great gameplan and, for the most part, they executed it very well. We didn't execute well and paid the price.

My chin is up this morning, however. We started off 0-1 last year and when you look at all of our losses in the last couple years, they were under 10 points. Keep that in mind. This is still a good team that can win a lot of games. In the NFL, you rarely win when you don't execute well, which is what happened yesterday.

The Redskins have beaten the eventual Super Bowl champs the last two years. You have that going for you

I'm almost with coco and I made no declarations. The tard tide rises pretty strongly with any loss much less an ugly upset one. Maybe in a few days some reasoned analysis can turn back the sky that has fallen on STers. I've got plenty of critique of this game but have no less expectation for the team contending.

Methinks there is a substantial amount of fans that really don't get the inherent difference between college & NFL ball. One loss and your national championship hopes are threatened at LSU. The Giants path to the Lombardi last year was not thought of as shocking or unusual and worth a review...

0-2 first two games by 30-56 score
were at 5-6 when losing to the Saints 24-49
Did anyone see last year's world champion after that loss?

btw they are 0-1 along with last year's 15-1 Packers.
