Yup. Sure felt that way at the time.
That's why landing Kevin Faulk was such a big deal.

I thought Warrick wasn't even the star of his high school team.
Wasn't it Kevin Franklin? He was the must have recruit from Catholic High. And LSU signed him. He just turned out to be a huge bust
And Marshall Faulk was recruited as a DB, by not just LSU, but every other college except one. And that was San Diego State. The only reason he ended up there was because they were the only school that offered him as a RB. If not for San Diego State, Faulk would have played DB, and probably would have been a damn good one too.
So I dont think there was this huge disappointment after not getting Faulk.
Fans were excited to get Franklin and had this site existed back during Faulk's recruitment, I'm sure everyone would have been laughing at him for his decision to play RB at San Diego State and not DB at schools like LSU, Miami, or Nebraska
