Jody & Bobbie - "Requiem for Love" (1966)
I wasn't sure where to post this, but I think it qualifies as early country rock.
Jody is Jody Reynolds, who in 1958 made the pop top 5 with the death classic "Endless Sleep". Bobbie is no less a personage than Bobbie Gentry, making her first record -- the next year she would hit #1 with the iconic "Ode To Billy Joe".
Bobbie Gentry was also pretty hot
