It's to cover up his man boobies

I can remember when Nick Saban was at LSU, he always wore either darker or lighter pair of slacks than his asst. coaches. I am not sure if he still does it at Alabama. I'm sure it was for the same reason.

Same reason he made up the reason he ran to the wrong sideline against Oregon last year?

Maybe they'd be happy if he wore a ballin' flatbill instead.

He wears a jacket, no matter the weather (usually scorching) so that his players see him tough it out. It's about showing his team he is mentally tough, and that if he can handle this heat with a jacket, they can handle it too.
Does that mean if we play in the cold or rain, he won't wear the jacket?

Why do they need to see him? Do our players have terrible Vision?

This thread
Who cares if he wears a damn jacket?

Last game I remember Miles NOT wearing the jacket, the Tennessee fiasco game.

This reason is not so the players can visibly see him an "pick him out". The reason he gave in the ESPN interview was so that the players would look to the sideline and see "consistency" so that's why he wears the same thing to every game because he wants them to think consistency.
Who gives a damn why he wears a pullover jacket, but that was what he said in the ESPN interview.

I do...It bothers me knowing that he is needlessly sweating profusely when he doesn't have to. It's stupid...If Les beats Bama without someone having to pay $$$ to Bama's field goal kicker again I'll consider trying to coexist with Les as my coach.

The question is not whether he said it because he may have. The question is whether it's true. Have you ever really listened to what Mr. Miles says? Truth is so far back in his rearview mirror, he can't even see it anymore.

his players will always know how to find him on the sidelines.
This is true. I saw Les explain it on an interview a few years ago.

Please call your mom and apologize to her for being such a disappointment.

I hope you have serenity and courage cuz you certainly don't have wisdom but 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
Your reply makes zero sense.

Actually when you're in the game it can be difficult to locate the coach on the sideline. When a coach is wearing something consistent and contrasting to the jerseys, it helps to find the coach quicker. Why would a coach need to make up something like that?
Have you ever actually played a down of college football even just in a scrimmage? First off, you have ZERO reason to need to find Les when you are on the field. He doesn't send in plays, etc.... Typical media answer that he gives to frick with you fools.....

Not so fast my friend. Here is probably the single number one reason Miles wears the jacket....and other head coaches wear something to make them stand out. ONLY the Head Coach can call a timeout from the sideline. I'm pretty sure Miles wants his players on the field to be able to single him out when needed. So, there is a reason, and a damn good one, to be able to recognize him quickly on the sideline. This is my personal guess as to why he wears the jacket.

Ok genius, I'll type this real slowly so you don't get lost, ok?
It was gentle sarcasm. Do you understand that concept? If the answer is "yes" continue reading. If the answer is "no", then have a nice day.
If you have contintinued on: the statement was meant to give you my impression of exactly how inane and childish your reply was. If your mother had read it she would have been mortified that her darling child would try so hard to be clever and yet fail so miserably. Thus the need for your apology.
I didn't want to call you a jackass or some similar name although your post certainly deserved it.
There now. Better?
