Season opener stat comparrisons for Mett, Flynn, and JR...

Just food for thought. Make your own assessment.
J. Russ' first start vs ULL 2006: 13/17 253 (299 team passing) 3 TD.
Team rushing: 170 yds 36 attempts 2 TD.
469 total yds.
Flynn's first start vs Miss St 2007: 12/19 128 yds (149 team) 2 TD.
Team Rushing: 198 yds 50 attempts 3 TD.
347 total yards.
Mett vs North Texas: 19/26 192 yds 1 TD.
Team Rushing: 316 yds 46 attempts 3 TD.
508 total yards.

Jamarcus russell was the full time starter in 05

When J Russ started in 05 he had little playing experience besides some sharing with Marcus Randall. I used 06 to make a fair comparrison because the 06 team was much better than was the 05 team. The title may need to be edited, but the comparrison for the sake of our expectations of Mett is better made with 06 J Russ.
