It's nice to see Texas has their priorities straight on what to waste money on.

nearly 40% of Allen football stadium funds were earmarked for a performing arts center, a golf driving range for the golf team, culinary arts classrooms that are used to service the schools own restaurant, and a TV studio. Attendance, advertising deals, and renting it out to the state for playoff games will cover all operating costs.

on top of that, Allen ISD only has one high school for a population of about 95,000 people. Allen High has 5,300 kids and the area is stil rapidly growing. They also have one of the highest graduation rates in the state, excellent test scores, and put the vast majority of their kids into college.

too bad most journalists have ignored all of that stuff to try and make a sanctimonious point.

Carthage is using that video board as part of their TV broadcast program and voted for it in a bond election. Also, they won state 3 years in a row recently.
