Is it normal to see Wood Storks in Louisiana?

I have seen a good number of what I can only identify as wood storks in north east LA over the past few months....are they common in that area?...

I see them in CENLA when ponds get close to drying up.

When I used to fish Bayou Pigeon, I would see a shite ton of them in the late spring/early summer.
they would be in the swamp feasting on trapped crawfish/fish and making a lot of racket.

Certain times of the year big numbers of them in the Atch Basin on Hwy 71 north of the intersection with Hwy 190.

I saw four of them on Bayou Dorcheat and Bodcau last Sunday afternoon.

When I lived in Florida, I saw them soaring in circles a lot.
The climate is very similar here. Wouldn't surprise me if they're just passing through.
